The Leica IIc

The Leica IIc camera, basically a Leica IIIc, the IIc has no slow shutter speeds, the slow speed location on the front of the camera being covered by a circular steel plate finished in vulcanite.
As with the post-war IIIc's there is no step under the rewind knob control lever and the accessory shoe is fitted by a blade and two  screws.
The camera was introduced in 1948, 9999 were manufactured in between this year and 1951 with serials number 440001-449999. a further batch of 1000 were produced in 1951 gearing the numbers 450001-451000.
the engraving is always f pre-war style but with the word "Germany" added

The catalogue code word  was LOOSE
